Fomitopsis ochracea, F. mounceae, F. schrenkii (old: F. pinicola)
English: red-belted polypore/conk
The red-belted polypore contains plenty of Triterpene and beta-glucans, which are partly water-soluble and partly soluble in alcohol.
The extraction in water takes place at 1.8 bar and 117°C, which means that more ingredients are dissolved than with normal cooking.
The alcohol-soluble ingredients are extracted via a maceration lasting several weeks at 96% vol. Spirit of wine.
For the Spruce Porling Double Extract, both extracts are then mixed 1:1 and filled into Miron glass bottles.
The processed specimens were collected in Hochtaunus, outside the nature reserves.
